We are so excited! We Made it to Maine.  After leaving Boston we drove over to New Hampshire.  We did an overnight at an Alpaca Farm called Snow Pond Farm.  The guy told us all about the place gave us a tour (I forgot my camera), and things to check out in Maine and the area.  Very nice stop and very nice people.

We got into Maine that next morning and stopped for lunch and then to our Harvest Host for the night.  By far our favorite spot.  It was Funky Bow Brewery.  They have pizzas and burgers along with the beer.  The best part is they have this huge area and it is all dog friendly with no leash required.  They actually have signs posted that say “Strict NO leash policy here”. It was really fantastic.  The pups had a blast playing with all the other puppies.

Our next stop was another harvest host Lone Pine Brewery.  Good nice beer.  After getting our spot and supporting our hosts we headed into the Portland Headlight.  They say it’s the most photographed headlight in the world.  It was really beautiful.  On top of that, there was a sailing race going on so we got to enjoy that as well.  They have a section where your dogs can be off-leash here.  Love this state so far.  The pups are loving all this freedom!

Next, we moved to Boothbay for the night and went into town with the pups, and walked around.  It is a neat little area.  The next morning we headed into Bangor.

Bangor

On the way there we found this great place on the water for lunch.  We had our first lobsters here.  They were delicious.  After that, we headed to the RV park.  We have an RV spot for a month just outside of Bangor.  It is really nice to get set up and relax for a bit.  I love traveling and seeing new places but it is nice to check out an area for a while too.

We plan on doing some hiking in Acadia National Park, checking out the highlands, friends are coming for a visit, and I am sure much more!  See you next week!

Cheers,

Jill
