We have officially found our Sailboat.
Her name is Vacatio and she is a 50-foot Bavaria Vision Sailboat.
She has in mast furling, a large cockpit with 2 helms. The dodger will be replaced with a larger one. We will add an enclosure to the boat for protection from the weather. The bow of the boat has plenty of room to store a dinghy during long passages. There are plenty of windows for lighting down below into the cabin.
Down below Vacatio is a 3 cabin, 2 head version. The master stateroom is in the bow with a separate head and shower split on either side as you walk into the room. The galley is a really nice set up with the sink in the center and good storage. In the Salon we have a large table with seating all around. Across from the seating is a small settee with 3 seats for additional seating. The navigation table is setup nicely with good space to actually sit. The two aft staterooms share a bath shower combo. One of the staterooms we have changed over to a storage/workroom. This room is directly aft of the galley. The sailboat boasts beautiful solid wood throughout with solid wood doors. This adds to Vacatio’s beauty and solid build.
There is a lot for us to do to make this boat our own. We will add solar panels, lithium batteries, induction cooking, and more. Here are a few photos.
