After leaving the Niagra Falls area we headed to visit Dave’s Mom’s side of the family in Michigan. This week we are Visiting the Midwest.
It was great to see all of the family while we were there. It had been since we left on the boat and some even longer since we had seen them. So, it was nice to catch up with everyone. We spent the week with his mom checking out favorite spots to eat and checking out the area. One afternoon we checked out his mom’s favorite winery, Cherry Creek Winery. After that, we decided to check out a couple more that were in the area and one brewery. It was a fun afternoon. We actually didn’t take any pictures, we just enjoyed our time with family and relaxed. This was the first time I had been up here and the area is absolutely beautiful. But before we knew it the week was up and it was time to head out and make our way west.
Other Things
One thing I wanted to mention is what else I have been working on. I have been working on sprucing up the blog a bit and one of the things I have finished is the Who We Are page. It tells the story of how we decided to sell everything and buy a boat. You can check it out by clicking here. I still have to do the info on our boat and that is in the works. Just trying to decide if we should do a video tour of the boat or just some photos. If you have any thoughts please feel free to leave me a comment below on what you would like to see. Sorry for such a short post this week, next we continue on our tour of the midwest on the way to my family. We stop off in Wisconsin for some interesting sightseeing. Stay tuned!
